Karin Huffman Kuykendall of San Angelo has been named Executive Director of the Southern Rolling Plains Cotton Growers Association by the Board of Directors.  She will assume her duties in the Concho Valley on May 1 and will be replacing Randall Conner who retires from SRPCGA on May 3. 

In addition to her responsibilities with the SRPCGA, Kuykendall will continue to serve as Executive Vice-President of the Rolling Plains Cotton Growers, Inc., a position she has held since 2002.  The Rolling Plains Cotton Growers consists of 31 counties north from Abilene and Colorado City to the Red River.  

Kuykendall graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agribusiness.  She and her husband Brad have a son and a daughter.  Prior to working for the RPCG, she was a marketing representative for John Deere and worked at the Agriculture and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M. 

The Southern Rolling Plains Cotton Growers Association consists of 12 cotton producing counties in the San Angelo area and is one of the nine cotton producer organizations in Texas.  In her role as Executive Director, Karin will coordinate activities of the association with local gins and agri-businesses, other cotton organizations, and the agricultural community.  She will monitor agricultural issues on the state and national level and communicate with state and national elected officials.
