Farm manager praises defoliation results, harvest weather

Harvest crews provided masks and hand sanitizer to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Jeff Lorah manages more than 6,000 acres of cotton and more than 3,000 acres of wheat for Robbie Robbins near Altus, Okla. Farm Press caught up with Lorah before he headed to the field for cotton harvest. 

Lorah discussed the 2020 season, treating for thrip rather than scouting, and how he's keeping his employees safe during a pandemic. He also talked about dry-planting cotton and defoliation.
