Many cotton farmers are surrounded by a diverse range of crops. They need to be aware of what’s growing around them and adopt a weed control system that is friendly to other crops, including peanuts. “Farmers who’ve sprayed Enlist herbicides near other crops have had great success in avoiding drift issues, including near other crops without the Enlist trait,” says Ryan Miller, market development and new technology specialist. “When applied according to the label, Enlist herbicides have shown limited drift and almost no volatility.”

“In our area, we have some sensitive crops including watermelons and pecan trees,” Warbington says. “Managing drift is extremely important. During and after the Enlist Duo application, we didn’t notice any drift at all.”

Naturally, farmers want — and need — effective weed control for their cotton fields.
