The amount of energy cotton farmers use to grow their crops has drawn increasing scrutiny as more attention is paid to energy usage and the carbon footprint. Research in the Vision 21 project is showing that cotton production energy use sometimes pales in comparison with the amount of energy used by consumers in cleaning those products. Cotton Incorporated’s Berrye Worsham talked about some of the latest findings from the project at the Beltwide Cotton Conferences.
