Bill Gillon was recently named president of the Cotton Board, the organization that oversees the collection and disbursement of funds from the cotton checkoff. Although new in the position, Gillon is not new to the cotton industry, having served as general counsel to the National Cotton Council for years. Interviewed during the Beltwide Cotton Conferences in Atlanta, Gillon said this is a great time to be in the industry because of high prices and high demand for the fiber.
