Nine members and 10 alternate members have been appointed to the Cotton Board.

The members and alternates, announced by Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, will serve a three-year term through the end of 2012.

“I am very pleased these U.S. cotton producers and importers have agreed to provide their time and expertise to serve this industry,” said Larkin Martin, Alabama cotton producer and chairman of the Cotton Board.

The re-appointed members are: Kevin Rogers, producer, Arizona; Tommy Gary, producer, Mississippi; Mark Williams, producer, Texas; Janet Ydavoy, importer, Florida; and Sonja Chapman, importer, New Jersey.

The re-appointed alternate members are: Ben Boyd, producer, Georgia; Randy Braden, producer, Texas; Linda Taylor, producer, Texas; Carlos Moore, importer, Washington, D.C.; and Robert Mele, importer, New York.

The newly appointed members are: Jeff Posey, producer, Texas; Teel Warbington, producer, Georgia; Kimberly Pettit, importer, North Carolina; and Monica Gorman, importer, Pennsylvania.

The newly appointed alternate members are: Adam Hatley, producer, Arizona; Mark Wright, producer, Texas; Craig Brown, producer, Mississippi; Jonathan Brewer, importer, California; and Chris Fisher, importer, Wisconsin.

Vilsack appointed Mark Wright to the alternate position in Texas. The term of that position ends in 2010.
