Everyone has heard about the drought in Texas in 2011. But crop consultants got to hear some of the grim details at the opening session of the Beltwide Cotton Conferences yesterday. Bob Glodt, a crop consultant from Plainview, said more than 85 percent of Texas’ dryland cotton acres were failed due to the drought.
