Every so often something comes along that makes you stop and think and wonder about your particular corner of the world. That’s what happening with a lot of folks who clicked on a link to the video series – http://apps.npr.org/tshirt/#/cotton -- on National Public Radio’s website.

I’ve been dabbling in videos for the Farm Press websites for several years now, but I was blown away by the videography and the subject matter in this series produced by Plant Money.

Click on it and watch. You may see some people you know and learn about some things you didn’t.

Forrest Laws spent 10 years with The Memphis Press-Scimitar before joining Delta Farm Press in 1980. He has written extensively on farm production practices, crop marketing, farm legislation, environmental regulations and alternative energy. He resides in Memphis, Tenn. He served as a missile launch officer in the U.S. Air Force before resuming his career in journalism with The Press-Scimitar.
