The Memphis-based Cotton Board has promoted Charles B. “Brad” Robb from director to vice president of communications, reporting directly to Drayton C. Mayers, president and CEO.

“Brad is well-known throughout the industry and has successfully managed the Cotton Board’s communications program since 2001,” said Mayers.

Robb is in the process of fielding candidates for four open regional representative positions, working to name regional communications managers as soon as possible.

“These regional communications managers will take direction from Brad and work to successfully keep U.S. producers and the allied industry informed about and supportive of the Cotton Research and Promotion Program,” said Mayers.

Supporting the Cotton Board’s communications efforts will be Stacey Caldwell, the Cotton Board’s new communications assistant.

“Stacey is a recent graduate of University of Central Arkansas where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations, with a minor in writing.

Caldwell began her full-time duties at the Cotton Board on May 5, after working part-time during her last semester of classes. She will be responsible for maintaining communications for the Cotton Board’s importer segment through news releases and newsletters.

“Stacey is already ahead of the curve in learning the business of cotton after having been raised around it for much of her life,” said Robb.
