Communications background lands Lizzy Schultz a new role at WCGA.

CORN PROMOTER: The Wisconsin Corn Growers Association has hired Lizzy Schultz to coordinate public relations while managing the organization's website content and social media efforts.

Lizzy Schultz of Madison has been hired by the Wisconsin Corn Growers Association as its new communications specialist. In her new role, Schultz will coordinate public relations while managing the organization's website content and social media efforts. She will also represent the WCGA at state and national commodity events.

“We are excited for Lizzy to join our team,” says Casey Kelleher, WCGA president. “Lizzy’s background is a great fit for our organization.” 

After receiving her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Schultz began working as a freelance media producer with several industry publications. Her articles have been published in Agri-View and National Hog Farmer. She has spent the past year working as a regular contributing reporter and editor for the online publication AgWired.

Her work with AgWired led her to develop content for companies and industry groups representing many different sectors of the ag industry, including New Holland, John Deere, FMC Corp., Growmark, Alltech, Dairy Management Inc., National Pork Board, Bayer CropScience and BASF. 

Schultz grew up in Verona. In her free time she enjoys fitness and spending time with her dog, Bella. She is also a lifelong equestrian.
