The North Carolina Northeast Ag Expo Summer Field Day is set for Thursday, July 28 in Camden County at John E. Ferebee Farming, Inc., located at 350 Scotland Road, Camden, NC 27921.
The field day begins with a trade show, breakfast, and registration from 7:45 am to 9:15 a.m., followed by opening remarks from 9:15 am to 9:30 am, field tours from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon, and ending with a catered lunch. Continuing education credits for certain categories of pesticide licenses will be available.
“Information provided via field tests/demonstrations, and presenters include corn in-furrow biologicals, corn variety trial, corn nitrogen rates for various plant populations, soybean planting dates for various maturity groups and seeding rates, soybean fungicides, soybean fertility, as well as a corn plant population wheel,” explains Pasquotank County Extension Agent Al Wood in a news release.
This year’s field day is being hosted by Camden County Cooperative Extension. The Northeast Ag Expo team consists of the six Cooperative Extension groups in Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans Counties in northeastern North Carolina. The Northeast Ag Expo Summer Field Day is a joint effort of North Carolina State University, Cooperative Extension, and commodity groups.
