The Minnesota Corn Growers Association rolled out a new website last week.

"I'm excited for our members and other visitors to see how easy it is to use our new website. We think we've exceeded our goal to provide members quick access to the most current information and news, and make it easier to share their thoughts and ideas on issues that affect Minnesota's family corn farmers," said Tom Haag, MCGA president.

The new site also provides Minnesota's agricultural stakeholders, legislators and policy-makers updated information on the issues and policies that are important to MCGA's 6,100 members.

New to the site is a "Corn Topics" section that highlights priority issues for MCGA, which include Biofuels & Ethanol, Water Quality & Conservation, Biotechnology, Production & Supply and more.

In addition, the site features:

-An easier way to find materials related to the topics being read or searched.

-Increased social media integration, which allows members and allies to share ideas and build community.

-A "Corn Toolbox" that provides improved Variety Plot Reporting to give farmers easy access to corn and soybean reports.

-A re-designed Research section, which makes it easy for visitors to search by Researcher, Institution or Research Project.

The new website also includes stories about Minnesota corn farming families that provide a glimpse into the everyday life of raising a family and raising corn.

The website's address is www.mncorn.org.
