June corn, soybeans, hay prices continue downward trend

June milk price was $5.50 per cwt. less than last year.

The June 2015 average price received by farmers for corn in Minnesota was $3.46 per bushel according to the latest report from the Upper Midwest Field Office of USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

This was down $0.10 from the May price, and $0.92 lower than June 2014.

The June 2015 average price received by farmers for soybeans, at $9.40 per bushel, was down $0.10 from the May price, and $4.80 lower than the June 2014 price.

The June oat price was $2.88 per bushel, up $0.27 from May, but $1.06 below June 2014.

All hay prices in Minnesota averaged $120.00 per ton in June, down $16.00 from the May price, and $33.00 per ton less than June 2014. Alfalfa hay prices fell $37.00 per ton from one year ago, to $133.00 and other hay prices were $22.00 per ton lower than last year, at $88.00.

The June average price was $17.90 per cwt for milk, up $0.10 from May, but $5.50 per cwt below one year ago. Prices for replacement milk cows averaged $1,880 as of July 1, 2015.
