The Chicago Board of Trade Corn futures contracts achieved a new volume record on Friday, May 12.
The Exchange's Corn futures trading volume was 336,422 contracts, eclipsing the previous record of 331,455 set on March 31, 2006.
The CBOT also reported a new Exchange-wide open interest record of 16,719,390 contracts, above the previous record of 16,421,016 contracts set the day before.
