GOOD START: Cornfields in northeast Missouri were planted a little earlier than others across the state. The MU Variety Testing Program found that early planting along with ample water boosted yields in some areas above 300 bushels.
BETTER THAN EXPECTED: Missouri corn yields in the MU Variety Testing Program in many cases were in the upper 200s. Only the southwest region saw average yields struggle to make 200 bushels per acre.
