Are you ready for the holiday season? Each year, I offer my recommendations for technology for your smart office. This Christmas, take advantage of sales and deep discounts on technology to meet your farm office needs. Here’s this year’s edition of tech under the tree:

1. iPhone 7 Plus – You get the best point and shoot camera on the market, and a smartphone! The newest iPhone is also splash-resistant, offers the latest processor technology and has enhanced audio capabilities.

2. Apple Watch Series 2 – There are several smartwatches on the market, but the watch with the most features remains the Apple Watch. The watch is water-resistant and has a dual core processor. Many apps have watch-specific features, and the device can help you to quickly view and respond to messages without removing your phone from your pocket.

3. Lenovo Yoga Book – I’m a fan of tablet PCs, and I think they are especially convenient when you must work on-the-go. The Yoga series of laptops are very versatile and convenient for mobile use.

4. Dell Ultrasharp Monitor – If you still have that old square monitor, it may be time for an upgrade. A widescreen monitor with quality resolution and ergonomic settings can help you be more productive and comfortable. This monitor is one of the highest rated screens on the market. You can use that old monitor as a second screen to expand your digital desktop.

5. HP Officejet Pro 8730 All-in-One Printer – HP offers a very useful and comprehensive multifunction printer. This model offers print, scan, copy and fax. You can also print from an email or your mobile device. HP also offers ink by subscription at an affordable rate so you never run out.

6. Lima storage – An issue with traditional cloud storage is that if you exceed your allotted drive space, it no longer syncs. Lima offers a solution, as well as additional security. It’s your own personal cloud storage and network attached storage (NAS).

7. Logitech Conference Cam Connect – Logitech offers ready-made solutions to add a conference room camera to your smart office without the high costs associated with traditional solutions. It’s a great addition if you have a need for video conferencing.
