Our family knows about showing cattle and hogs. But I recently saw a Sullivan Supply catalog for goats and sheep, and I was very entertained.

Remember the ’70s when tube tops for girls was a fashion trend? Guess what! Goats and sheep can wear performance tubes made of spandex. My dad didn’t approve of me wearing tube tops back in the day. He certainly wouldn’t have liked them being called “performance tubes” or knowing that they could be made of spandex.

There’s now a product called Wool Grower for use on leg wool. It claims to be a daily conditioner, made with tea tree oil and citronella oil. I don’t need a leg wool grower. My daughters like hair products with tea tree oil but wouldn’t buy ones used on livestock. I buy citronella oil candles to ward off bugs on the screened-in porch in the summer.

The Edge Slicker Brush is to “pop” leg wool. Not happening.

The Snap Lead Halter is for the safety and comfort of your sheep. It can be used in tandem with the Deluxe Sheep Stand, the get-ready platform. I’m so thankful I don’t need a halter to hold my head in place while standing on any platform to get ready.

Those poor sheep and goats need a whitening spray. Sugar Coat is a natural spray that “contains optical enhancers.” A whitening spray is the last thing this head needs. I pay a small fortune regularly to keep whitening head hairs at bay. Perhaps the optimal enhancers are a good thing though. I could really use something to project younger years on this aging head.

Selecting a candle called Final Bloom is not on my shopping list for a long time. Think about it!
