The people at PETA must sleep at night dreaming up scamming visions designed to finagle you – the John Q. Public – to hand over your hard-earned money to support its anti-meat, pro-vegetarian agenda.

In case you’ve been practicing your best "ostrich in the sand" imitation, PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Sane individuals for decades have accurately purported this radical, anti-meat, environmental extremists group as "People Eating Tasty Animals."

I side with the latter version – cooked on the grill…mmm…medium rare.

Based upon PETA’s latest stunt, the people at PETA have turned a new corner in outrageousness. PETA has painted a green target (dollar green) on corporate America (that’s a real shocker).

According to PETA, purchasers of LCD televisions, computer monitors, and laptops purchased from 1999 to 2006 could be owed money from a settlement of a lawsuit where product manufacturers allegedly engaged in price fixing and customer overcharges

The PETA fundraising scheme entices you to file a claim. All one has to do is complete PETA’s online form which takes about three minutes. Like magic, the dollars would be deposited into PETA’s bank account – not yours.

PETA encourages you to line PETA’s pocket – not yours – with the unexpected payout.

The amount of the claim might be small, but every penny counts, PETA says. When combined with other refund dollars, PETA concludes, “It will make a big difference in terms of helping to fight cruelty and save lives!”

In other words, save their own hides and fund their hidden agenda.

If the electronics industry is guilty, payouts are appropriate. However, it is morally outrageous for PETA to intercept your claim dollars for its self-serving wacko interests.

This is PETA’s latest scam to raise money to promote its pro-vegetarian agenda. As the company mantra reads, “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any way.”

That’s not what my Bible says. Animals exist to support human existence through consumption.

PETA wants all of us to become vegetarians, naked ones to boot. In a recent PETA public relations stunt, TV talk show host Wendy Williams poses in the buff, encouraging onlookers to avoid wearing fur clothing.

In another PETA effort, retired “The Price is Right” TV host Bob Barker urges in a video for people to forego a trip to SeaWorld alledging that the confinement of animals is wrong and animals are not meant for entertainment purposes….(or is that… porpoises).

This same insane idea would make county fairs unethical. FFA students who raise pigs and cows then guide them around the show ring before the local community. Local citizens and organizations purchase the animals at high prices only to then reinvest the dollars in youths in today’s agriculture.

Not surprisingly, PETA continues its wacko ways. Shame on you, PETA.
