Happy New Year to all!

The new year is a time of reflection and a new beginning. It is a time for prayer and fasting, to seek the plans and purposes God has for this coming year.

We all try to plan our calendar for the year, and we also figure out our tithe, giving and volunteering. Mark 16:15 tells us to “go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Volunteers for the tent ministry of Fellowship of Christian Farmers are needed to help spread the gospel of Jesus and prepare material for events. Support and donations for our missionaries in the field are important, too.

It is not always easy to participate at these events. Hecklers disrupt our booths, lack of staffing is sometimes an issue, and, at times, we have wrong attitudes. That is why prayers are so important to our members. Just keep your eyes on Jesus, and he will work it out: “The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore,” Psalm 121:8.

There is excitement and promise for the coming year. Plant sales will be held this spring and next fall. One of our major events is a fundraiser in May, the Kathryn L. Brown Golf Tournament, which benefits The Fellowship of Christian Farmers. It is a lot of work, but it helps the organization cover expenses.

As a field leader for Region 8 of Fellowship of Christian Farmers, our mission would not survive without prayer, support and volunteers. “And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said here I am! Send me,” Isaiah 6:8.

It is a blessing to tell people about Jesus. What a joy to be at events with volunteers who love the Lord with all their heart. How ever you are led and directed by the Lord in 2025, may it be filled with God’s direction.

“God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crowns of life that God has promised to those who love him,” James 1:12.

I am praying and believing that God has great plans and purposes for your 2025. May he provide you the desires of your heart, giving you a boldness to tell people about Jesus and eternal life. Thank you and God bless!
