Chopping option added to Calmer corn head kits

The tremendous amount of trash left in corn fields this past fall has spawned new chopping equipment for combines. The BT Chopper option for Calmer Corn Heads is one of them. The new Chopper will chop and crush BT corn stalks into confetti-sized pieces for easier decomposition in the field.

Previously, the Calmer Trash Reduction and Decomposition Kit included the BT Crusher that crushes and crimps long stalks. Now growers may purchase the BT Chopper option that sizes stalks into the small pieces. Also included in a kit are 9-tooth idlers, standard gathering chains, and hardened beveled edge stripper plates. Kits are available in hydraulic or manual. Prices start at: $0000.
