Association rebrands to reflect diversity of clean fuel industry members.

Today the National Biodiesel Board debuted its new identity as Clean Fuels Alliance America. The announcement came during the opening session of the 2022 National Biodiesel Conference & Expo in Las Vegas.

The transformation helps further the organization’s position as the voice of America’s clean fuels industry, representing the entire biodiesel, renewable diesel, and sustainable aviation fuels supply chain. This includes producers, feedstock suppliers and fuel distributors.

“Our industry has seen and will continue to see significant growth as the world around us focuses on clean energy,” said Donnell Rehagen, CEO of Clean Fuels.

More and more companies are announcing corporate sustainability goals to be achieved by 2030. Clean fuels have the unique opportunity to start making sustainable changes immediately.

Using Biodisel instead of petroleum-based fuels reduces greenhouse gas emissions by up to 86% and hydrocarbon emissions by 67%, according to the Clean Fuels Alliance America website. “We are an integral part of the solution for sustainable energy that’s not only affordable but also scalable and available now,” Rehagen says.

As the Clean Fuels Alliance of America, the association plans to continue to be a leader in clean fuels policy, communications, and public relations. The clean fuels industry is like a family, Rehagen explains. The family will remain the same, but this rebranding will allow the organization to welcome in even more companies to achieve its mission.

Ultimately, the new name better reflects what the organization does and why. “After many years of successfully building the biodiesel industry, we and our members are connecting people to accelerate America’s clean fuels future through the creation, production and distribution of new types of clean fuel,” according to the Clean Fuels website.
