Farm Progress is a diverse agriculture information company covering local farm issues across the United States. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, and a rising need to communicate with readers in new ways, the company is launching a new podcast – Around Farm Progress.

The weekly podcast, which will be live online by 3 p.m. Central time each Friday, will engage company editors from around the country to discuss key topics of the day. The opening episode covers COVID-19 and several aspects of the crisis. And while the disease will be a top issue going forward, that's just a start for the podcast.

Farmers are getting their information in new ways. Farm Progress is a leader in reaching them as needed. From top magazines around the country to one of the first agriculture-focused mobile apps from Farm Futures, to the leading television presence with This Week in Agribusiness, the company covers all media for agriculture.

The rise of smartphone use and continued growing interest in podcasts is an opportunity for Farm Progress editors to reach their audience in a new way. With more than half of ag web traffic coming from smartphones, the podcast format is growing in popularity for the industry.

The new podcast will start on Podbean – click the link or search "Around Farm Progress." You can also listen to the episode on this page, and it will be posted each Friday, and shared to Farm Progress social media pages on Facebook and Twitter so you don't miss it.

Liking the podcast on Podbean will also help you find it if you use that app on your smartphone. Soon the podcast will also be on iTunes and other podcast platforms. Tune in and stay informed.

For more than 177 years Farm Progress has worked to provide farmers valuable and local information they can put to use in their operations. As media has evolved, so has the company. This new podcast reaches readers in a new way. Check it out each week. Comments or questions? Just send a note to [email protected]
