The Raven name recalls a range of technologies from autonomy to precision ag, but the company had other diverse operations including Raven Engineered Films. When Raven was acquired by CNH Industrial just over a year ago, the initial announcement noted that some divisions would perform better independently.

In April 2022, Raven Engineered Films was spun out to Industrial Opportunity Partners, and as part of that transaction the company gets a new name – Viaflex. The name “represents a combination of two words that honor and encapsulate the company’s mission and culture,” according to the media announcement.

In the announcement, the company notes that Via, or by the way of, speaks to the way Viaflex uses science, data and the latest technologies to create solutions to complex challenges. Flex is a nod to the company’s ability to react quickly.

Raven Engineered Films built a strong business supplying specialty films to a range of industries including agriculture. For the ag industry, the company makes feed, grain and silage covers; containment liners and fumigation films. Other industries served include:

* Construction – enclosure, vapor barrier and gas barrier films.

* Energy – reliable liners and containment solutions for the gas and oil industries

* Geo – geomembrane liners and covers to support the environmental sector.

* Industrial – Custom solutions for any projects.

* Installation – geomembrane liner installation services.

Viaflex, as an independent company, will focus on product and installation execution, supporting internal R&D and engineering team, quality control, and industry partnerships to propel further growth.

“We are excited to launch the Viaflex brand and are committed to protecting earth and promoting industry,” says Scott Wickersham, Viaflex president and CEO. He adds that the company “is focused on creating value for our customers by delivering excellent service, exceptional quality, and industry-leading innovation.”

Dave Mackin at Industrial Opportunity Partners notes Viaflex has “an exceptional team with an unmatched and diverse set of capabilities. We are excited about the future of Viaflex.”

IOP notes that Viaflex is hiring talent in all markets to support growth.
