A bountiful harvest of knowledge

Ron Smith's article, “Rotation options offer opportunities, challenges,” (Southwest Farm Press, Oct. 2, 2008) offers a wealth of information in one fine package.

From crop rotation to the crops recommended for that rotation, and why, Smith has presented Southwest Farm Press readers like myself with a bountiful harvest of knowledge.

Curly mites can advance from Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) acreage into wheat crops, and Smith gave a solid, practical solution in mowing. Here in west-central Ohio's Amish and Mennonite farm country, such a common sense, working resolution is welcomed.

Kudos to Smith for being the fiber that makes Southwest Farm Press such a nutritious brain food for readers!
