Winter show time is here

Farmers sitting through another winter waiting for spring can make the time more productive by heading to Louisville, Ky., for the National Farm Machinery Show (NFMS). This show runs from Wednesday, Feb. 13, to Saturday, Feb. 16. Considered the largest indoor farm show in the U.S., NFMS promises plenty of new products and technology to keep you busy.

If you want to know who’s exhibiting at the show, download the National Farm Machinery Show app on your smartphone. This app provides a complete list of exhibitors, including links to some websites and information about some products. If you go to the show, the app includes an interactive map that helps you locate exhibitors. The app also sends alerts regarding seminars and other events during the show. Go to the App Store for the free NFMS ’13 app.

If you attend the show, your evenings can be filled by attending the Championship Tractor Pull. This event is considered the oldest large-scale indoor tractor pull in North America. Held in Freedom Hall at the show, the tractor pull offers big entertainment for most farmers.
