Spring improvement projects

We have had the first dry weather here in Ohio since late summer of last year. Tractors were rolling in the fields in the last of March. We were chiseling, disking, and field cultivating. This week I will haul some liquid manure. Some corn has been planted in NW Ohio, but most people will wait until the second week of April and keep an eye on the weather forecast. I still have some planter repair and some bearings to pack on tillage tools plus lots of livestock chores to do so I am not too excited about planting anything. Plus at this time of year it takes about one person to keep ahead of all the lawn mowing and yard grooming and other little improvement projects. I am very fortunate to have a highly supportive wife who helps with just about everything from bookwork to sorting and loading hogs on to the semi.
