What are the top-selling tractor brands in other countries? That’s one of the questions being tackled by Farmers Weekly,a multimedia information service for farmers and agricultural businesses in the UK. The company is doing a series of national profiles that looks at what brands are popular in other countries according to unit sales figures. Countries profiled so far are Germany, Brazil, Finland, Canada, and, most recently, the United States.

Obviously, here in the U.S. the major players are John Deere, Case IH, New Holland, and Agco, among others. But unlike many other countries, our nation does not disclose market data on units sold by brand. So Farm Industry News had to take a slightly different spin when asked to do a ticker for our country. Here we address farm machinery buying trends, in general, and what’s driving our recent run in sales.
