An online training program, the WGA E-University will use the Internet and the WGA Web site ( to provide courses in food safety, integrated pest management (IPM), production and processing innovations, as well as many other areas that affect the production of fruits and vegetables in the western United States.

“Through our Web site, we are able to deliver timely and relevant information using interactive technologies like multimedia and Web-based learning,” says Hank Giclas, WGA Division of Science and Technology Affairs. “Partnering with Bayer to create the WGA E-University enhances our current educational outreach efforts, allowing WGA to deliver industry-relevant training courses to a greater number of WGA members.”
