Polaris rolls out new machines for 2015

Utility vehicles are hot items – whether you’re talking the popular side-by-side models, or the single rider all-terrain vehicles. For 2015 Polaris is offering enhancements across the line we’ll detail below and in this gallery.

We got a chance to go through the Polaris factory in Roseau, Minn., which offered a look at how the company builds not only utility vehicles, but snow mobiles, in the factory. The company has a long history of innovation, from bringing the continuously variable transmission to the utility vehicle market, to laying claim as the first builder of a snow mobile.

So what’s ahead for the company? One key phrase is 570 – that’s the new engine that will power a new Ranger Crew model, the Sportsman ACE 570 and even the revamped two-seat classic ranger that now gets the full family look.

The 44-hp ProStar 570 engine will be a popular power plant for the company since it appears in so many new motels for 2015.

The upgrades and enhancements to the Ranger line are patterned after the popular Ranger XP 900, considered by the company to be its flagship machine. The more-aggressive profile of the XP 900 was launched in 2013, and now graces the Ranger two-seater for 2015. The Ranger family of side-by-sides looks like they’re all part of the same family.

Read on to learn more about many of the new machines in the line. You’ll find descriptions to the right of the photos detailing many features offered.

The company is changing up diesel power for 2015 as well, with diesel models moving to a Koehler Tier 4 engine for this class of machine. The company had been sourcing engines from Yanmar.
