The annual Arkansas Crop Management Conference is scheduled for Jan. 27-30 at the North Little Rock Wyndham Hotel, North Little Rock, Ark. The meeting will provide agricultural professionals with information on technology, market trends, developing pest problems and other factors that shape the agricultural industry.
Speakers will include those prominent within the agribusiness community, university scientists specializing in crop protection or crop management, industry personnel discussing technology developing in industry, and regulatory personnel who will discuss issues of interest. Speakers will discuss a wide range of topics related to the major crops in Arkansas.
The Arkansas Crop Protection Association, the Arkansas Agricultural Consultant Association, the Arkansas Certified Crop Adviser Association, the Arkansas Plant Food Association, Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture sponsor the meeting.
Pre-registration is encouraged and means a discounted rate, $125, if made by Jan. 15. On-line registration is also an option — at http://www.acpanews.org/events/conference.htm — and will also close on Jan. 15. After Jan. 15, registration can occur only on-site at the conference at the $150 rate, cash or check only. The registration fee for state/government employees will be $75 at any registration time.
