Agribusiness: Redball introduces Value Line Sprayer

BENSON, Minn. – Redball LLC announced the introduction of the Model 570 High-Clearance Trailer Sprayer, the first of its new Value Line of sprayers.

“This new model will allow growers who want an economical sprayer to take advantage of manufacturing efficiencies without sacrificing quality of workmanship and high-quality vendor parts,” says Steve Claussen, president of Redball LLC.

The Model 570 will be available with a 1,200-gallon tank, 60- to 90-foot booms and 80- to 120- inch adjustable 10-bolt axles with 320/90R46 rubber. The grower price for the sprayer is estimated to be $20,000 to $22,000, several thousand dollars less than a similar Redball Premium Line sprayer.

“Manufacturing efficiencies from producing sprayers with a standard set of features allows us to pass along significant savings to our customers,” says Claussen. “We will continue to offer new innovations on Premium Line 600-Series sprayers for growers who require larger tanks, wider booms, additional axle configurations and other options.”

The fully suspended front-fold center-pivot boom on the Model 570 sprayer utilizes Redball’s patented rubber torsion Henschen suspension. A new field-proven center-pivot boom folds over the top 180 degrees and forward 90 degrees using a five-bank electric/hydraulic fold-control system.

Standard features on the Model 570 sprayer include a 2-inch Ace hydraulic centrifugal pump, a 36-gallon clean-water rinse tank, a 15-gallon fresh-water safety tank, TeeJet electric ball valves and a Raven 450 controller. Nozzles are on 20-inch spacings, except for the 88-foot boom, which has 22-inch spacings.

Booms are plumbed with flanged fittings where possible for ease of service, with secondary in-line strainers in each boom section and manual shut-off fence-row nozzles. Booms through 66 feet are plumbed in three banks, with wider booms plumbed in four sections. Sprayers are available in green or red. Foam markers and chemical eductors are available as field-installed accessories.

The Model 570 Value Line sprayer complements a full line of Redball Premium Line high-clearance trailer and three-point sprayers available in tank sizes ranging from 750 to 2,000 gallons. Booms are available in widths from 45 to 132 feet. Redball, LLC also manufactures fertilizer application and strip till equipment and sells parts for agricultural sprayers through its Spray Parts R Us division at
