New products for handling and applying fertilizer include everything from a stainless steel valve for use with anhydrous ammonia from KZ Valve to a narrow sidesaddle tractor tank that holds 600 gallons from Lakestate, a Minnesota-based company.

In between, there is a whole host of new applicators and fertilizer delivery and monitoring systems you can check out in this slideshow. MonTag brings a cart with flexibility. It can deliver fertilizer where you want it, or you can use it to plant small seeds. New Leader, known for sturdy-built fertilizer and lime application equipment, introduces a new fertilizer box, the NL600 model.

Some of the new products designed to handle fertilizer are geared at delivering and monitoring starter fertilizer correctly in planting situations. Dultmeier Sales introduces a kit for liquid fertilizer application. Surefire is confident that the Sentinel Row Track system can pick up any problems that might occur while delivering starter fertilizer from your planter.

CrustBuster debuted a product at a farm show even before the company sent out a press release about its new deep-placement nutrient tool. Displayed at the farm show was a row unit, not the full tool. In fact, it was so new that it was not the same color as the final product will be. CrustBuster acquired row unit technology from an existing small company and began showing farm show visitors the product before the ink was barely dry on the deal.
