The 10 top recorders in Illinois are: Sauk Valley Angus, Rock Falls, 398 head; Sunny Valley Farm LLC, Yorkville, 204; Steve Hillman, Morton, 174; Hunter Farm, Alexis, 157; Sundberg Farms, Mendota, 151; Tomlinson Farms, West Frankfort, 143; Mark Ray, Berwick, 128; Callan Farms Inc, Stonington, 127; Werner Angus, Rapids City, 114 head; Dameron Angus Farm, Lexington, 107.

Angus breeders across the nation registered 347,572 head of Angus cattle in 2006 compared to 324,266 in fiscal 2005.
